Central My desk is in the center of the room. Ihis is good feng shui. i face the doorways instead of having my back to them. It makes the room feel more spacious, which makes me more productive.

How to Create More Flex When You Have an Office Job
You sit down at your desk to begin your day when your boss sits at the edge of your desk to chat. After she leaves, you dive head-first into your work, only to be called in to an emergency all-staff meeting. An hour and a half later, you’re back at your desk, trying to restart your day, only to have chatty coworkers cluster by your cube, oblivious to the fact that you need to concentrate and can’t.
